Sex is getting harder, could this be due to low testosterone levels?

Maybe: Sorry for being vague, but there isn't enough information to really answer this question. How do you treat low testosterone levels?

Lots of options: First, let's be clear. We don't treat just b/c t is low. Patient also has to have constellation of symptoms, eg andropause or hypogonadism. Once established that treatment is indicated, options include patch (skin vs gum), cream/gel/lotion, pellet implant & injections. However, all these options are various forms of t and will shut down sperm production. If you want to father children, avoid this. ...Read more

What's the problem?: If he's having erectile dysfunction, it's up to his physician to find the cause. Prolactinoma and hemochromatosis are two causes that a screen using serum testosterone will miss. Some men may be deeply in love with their partner but less able to perform with her than they are with images / ideas. Couples therapy and practice techniques in the bedroom may help.
