Is It Good For A 7month Old Baby To Get Her Ears Pierced
No: I've seen young children with pierced ears whose earlobes have been torn during rough play with siblings. Metal allergies can be an issue, and if improperly fastened, the child may pull off and eat. I counsel my parents to let their children decide if they want pierced ears when the child is old enough to care for it themselves. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
NO, but not BAD: It is neither good nor bad. It is purely cosmetic and to enhance your enjoyment of your child. I would strongly recommend you seek out a pediatrician that does ear piercing using sterile medical plastic studs with decorative tops. Mall earring studs have many metal components and are not sterile. This leads to the potential of infection and metal allergies that will haunt the child for life. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I got my infant her ears pierced 3 m ago. i noticed some scar tissue above one of the pierced earlobes. Can that be a keloid? Can it go away naturally?
Yes and probably not: You are probably right about the Keloid if you are familiar with them and you think it might look like one. It might be more likely to resolve without the foreign body in there. Keloids tend not to go away; they tend to be a problem. If this were my baby, especially if your family has tendency to "keloid" I'd take them out. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

i'm mother of a 7month old baby girl..
my question is, when can my baby go for ear piercing.. is it okayy now..
?define clean?: If you mean wiping dirt or debris away from the exposed skin, that should happen as needed. If you are concerned about wax, leave it alone if you can't get it loose under direct vision with a cloth or fingernail. Never put a cotton swab into the ear canal. Wax is made in the outer half of the canal & can fall out over time. The swabs push it closer to the drum & make it hard to remove. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Got my daughters ear pierced when she was 3-4 months old and one is uneven been in about a 14 months will it heal on its own to get repierced? Or Dr
Heal: It will heal and close on it's own if you take the earring out but you will have to deal with her only having one earring in on the one side for awhile. I would suggest you give it at least 6-9 months if not more to let it heal properly before you repierce that ear. You may be dealing with piercing through some scar tissue on the next sitting so be prepared for her to be in more pain if you must. ...Read more
