3 years ago I got diagnosed with blood clots...I'm on no medication for them currently...I'm suffering with pins n needles in my heAd regularly??

Unrelated: Don't know where you had the blood clots, but you received treatment and stopped already, pins and needles feeling in your head can be due to nerve affection, not due to vascular problem, unless the nerves in that area become ischemic (devoid of blood supply) but hence the symptom would be rather different pain sensation, which isn't your case. See your doctor who may refer you to a neurologist ...Read more

44 year-old female with a history of DVT and stroke; on Warfarin daily now with right leg swelling and bilateral leg pain.....?

Need good ultrasound study and a cardiac echo: Was there a reason found for the stroke? A clot in the leg may travel to the lung, but should not normally be able to get to the brain. The most likely reason it did is a defect in the heart. An echocardiogram will help sort the heart out, and can guide a repair. A good ultrasound of the legs is necessary to see if there is a recurrent clot. If not, another consideration is Post-Thrombotic Syndrome - failure o the valves in the leg veins from scarring after DVT. Patients with DVT need to wear compression hose daily for at least 2 yrs after DVT to minimize the risk of PTS. ...Read more

I woke up with a blood clot in my eye this morning and it looks like it's coming out of my eye what is this. I'm worried?

Eye exam: If there is blood in the white of your eye this is a broken blood vessel; however, if you truly feel that something is trying to come out of your eye, I would advise ER evaluation. A broken blood vessel, will cause the white of your eye to fill with blood. If your vision is distorted, go NOW! ...Read more

I have snake eyes pericing and it has a blood clot under the tongue what am I suppose to do?

Will likely resolve: Not sure how long ago you had the piercing done, but most likely the clot will resolve itself in a week or two. The tongue is a very vascular structure (has good blood supply) and can bleed quite a bit when injured. But also because of this good blood supply, injury to the tongue often heals quite well, and rather quickly. So, if after 2 wks and the clot is not any better, consult doc. Good luck. ...Read more

My 16 month old baby fell from a high chair and hurt her eye. She has a large blood clot on the white off her eye should I be concerned?

Yes: If the trauma was bad enough to cause a hemorrhage within the white of her eye, she should have a through dilated eye exam by an ophthalmologist to see if there is any internal damage. She also may have a fracture.
A fall from a high chair can also cause head injuries that should be assed by a neurologist. I would take her to the er. ...Read more

Blood clot in posterior to the retina due to blunt injury to the eye with loss of vission. Pls tell me if the vision comes back or not?

Depends: Depends on the severity of the hemorrhage. As an oculoplastc specialist I deal with blunt trauma all the time but I leave the retina issues to a retinal specialist and concern myself with the bones. Hopefully one of the excellent retinal specialists on this forum will answer. As a general rule, the longer the vision remains poor and is not improving, the poorer the prognosis. ...Read more

September 5th I got pink eye, it went away. Next Saturday I was ok. This Saturday my eyes got swollen shut and now I have a blood clot. Please help?

I'm not sure..: ...what you mean by blood clot? Perhaps you are seeing red/blood in the sclera/white part of your eye? Most conjunctivitis is viral, and will often clear without antibiotics. But with a recurrence, seemingly more severe with thicker discharge you need to see your ophthalmologist or primary provider. A physical exam and evaluation of your eyes is needed. Good wishes:) ...Read more

I have loss of vision in one eye, several times a month. Is it caused by a temporary blockage like a blood clot?

Could be a TIA: A temporary loss of vision in one eye can be a sign of a TIA also known as a transient ischemic attack. It can be caused by small blood clots (emboli) that break off from either the heart or carotid artery in the neck. See your primary care provider for evaluation that may include ultrasound studies. ...Read more

Could a bulging vain in my forehead above my left eye be a blood clot? I read on a website that it may be a blood clot and to treat it with heat.

Not blood clot: If or if it's best to see your eye doctor. Chances are high that is not a blood clot and often blood clots are not visibly seen by the naked eye. It's microscopic and small and the tissues around it could appear swollen (ie, blood clot in lower leg, DVT). Bulging veins alone don't indicate that a blood clot is present. Please see your eye doctor soon to confer & alleviate your worry. Be well! ...Read more
