Is It Common To Develop Heart Problems After Having Lung Surgery For Cancer
Somewhat: Heart arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation (a-fib) may occur in up to 10-15% of patients after lung surgery. To prevent a-fib, you doctor may give you magnesium and potassium after surgery to replace your electrolytes. Also, if you were on a beta-blocker medication prior to surgery, those will be restarted. If not, your doctor may temporarily place you on a beta or calcium channel blocker. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

This is my advice to: My advice to you is not to think of worst possible causes for your chest pain, like you have listed here. You do not have breast Cancer or heart problems at this young age. If there is any serious concern, he/she may order some tests to make a proper diagnosis. ...Read more
What is causes me to have sudden shocking like pain in my left mid chest area? I've heard it can be normal but heart problems are common in my family
Not heart.: Sudden shocking chest pains in an 18 yo male are very likely to be related to the musculoskelatal system and not the heart. Doesn't mean you shouldn't worry, but you can put that worry off for another 30 years. If your family hx is as bad as you say, might be reasonable to obtain a single cholesterol value to make sure you are not at any excess risk. ...Read more

Tend to be salty: Life is a matter of weighing risks and benefits. Stuff that's canned does tend to have a lot of extra salt, and preparing the food well may remove most of this. The current hoopla over a can-chemical with slight estrogenic activities causing breast cancer will probably go the way of the completely-discredited "green" claims of the 1990's about synthetic environmental estrogens. My opinion. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
