Im 17 years old female. And im only 5'2 ft. My family are pretty tall, everyone on my mom and dad's side of the family are pretty tall. Why im not?

Genetics: You're within the normal range for a 17 year old female, but if you don't have a chronic illness or genetic abnormality, you obviously didn't get the tall genes when you were conceived. However, if you have osteoporosis as you indicated and you're only 17 years old, then you definitely have a severe problem that needs at least an endocrinologist and better a metabolic bone specialist. ...Read more

Depends on maturity: The potential for more height is directly linked to a persons maturity ( bone maturity, pubertal stage). Alopecia: You got half your genes from your Dad and half from your Mom. Talk to him about how he survived teenage hood as a bald guy. You can get a toupee or hair transplant. Speak to a dermatologist. At least you know that they didn't exchange you for another kid in the nursery. I think they say bald is beautiful. Some women are turned on by a glistening pate.
