Is It Bad To Sleep With Music On
Is it bad to sleep with earbuds in while listening to music? I've never done this but i want to try it a few times to see if it helps me sleep
Sleep with earbuds:
Generally speaking, it is better to sleep without earbuds in place. If you do, no harm will come, as i presume you are not listening to loud music while you are trying to sleep.
The bigger issue sounds like trouble sleeping. A noise generator in your bedroom, playing soothing sounds or music is a better choice than earbuds. ...Read more
Controversial : Good sleep hygiene, the set of routines we perform to ensure a good night's sleep, recommends a dark, cool, quit room. If one did have music playing, the brain would attempt to attenuate or ignore it. Theoretically that would require more energy and activity in the brain thus the quality of sleep could be compromised. Learn to sleep without the music and see what feels the best. Pleasant dreams. ...Read more

Is it bad to sleep 8 and a half to 9 (the most) hours? Just curious lately i've been over sleeping a bit due to just feeling lazy in the cold temps
Not really necessary: A bra is not really necessary when you are sleeping. Most people sleep better when they are wearing loose, non-restrictive clothing (or nothing). A bra is to prevent pulling on the tendons of the breast when walking, jogging, etc. When you are lying down, this isn't really an issue. I think this trend started due to TV shows, but there is no need for the bra when you sleep. ...Read more

Is it bad to sleep late like 5am then wake up late like 3pm even though I have enough sleep is this bad for my health?
Less than ideal: The problem with sleeping late is that you alter your circadian(sleep wake cycles) so that you will habituate your body to that particular cycle - at least if you do this consistently. If you do this intermittently, the quality of your sleep will be less than optimal and could make it difficult to sleep during more "regular" times. Remember poor sleep habits can significantly affect your health. ...Read more

Is it bad to sleep on ur back.. I'm 26 weeks and it's the only way I can get comfy, and I seem to wake in my back even if I fall asleep on my side..
Try tilting: OBs don't recommend sleeping on your back because your 3rd trimester uterus can compress the large veins returning to the heart. However, do not panic if you find yourself waking up on your back. To minimize the amount of time flat on your back, try putting a pillow or rolled up towel behind your back on one side, so you're slightly tilted. Even a slight tilt is sufficient to displace the uterus. ...Read more
