My 21 year old daughter was diagnosed with scabies about a month she did two treatments with cresm and a pill I've also treated my self and son.Is ther?

Probably enough: If the right cream(for scabies) was used in right way(from top to bottom, whole night application), twice in two weeks, it's enough. But need to follow-up with dermatologist for any unresolved issue like itching still severe, rashes still present, etc.
Family members should be treated, clothing(underwear, particularly), bed sheet, etc., should be cleansed. ...Read more

Hello Dr. My daughter is just 1 year old she got some skin problem but we r confused whether its scabies or herpes. 1 Dr. Said herpes & other Scabies.

Skin Rash: rashes are difficult to diagnose at times, and some in the early stages look similar. Scabies tends to be more diffuse in Ethernet the fingers, in the skin folds and along the diaper line. Herpes tends to be in one place. That being said it is unclear why you are going to see multiple doctors for the same rash. Try to see your pediatrician or FP if the rash changes then they can see the progres ...Read more

I have Indonesia scabies .i have had them a year on my chin. I've seen four Doc and not a one did a scrape and looked , I've used permethrin nothing?

Treat also pets: I am not aware of an Indonesian species of scabies, but you definitely need to see a dermatologist. Ivermectin is a good alternative to permethrin if this is indeed scabies. Treating all family members, pets, domestic animals, etc is critical in eradicating the infection. I also reviewed an article "Scabies in Indonesia"that you can google and find by Bogor Agricultural Univ. Hope it helps. ...Read more

Have it evaluated.: There are many things that could cause the skin to itch. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment. ...Read more

Hi I'm a 32 year old female. I currently have scabies as diagnosed by my doctor.. I have them all over and especially on neck, face and scalp.. How will I treat my scalp as I have very long hair and doctor told me not to put treatment on my head, even if

Oral ivermectin?: There's no obvious reason the treatment (probably permethrin or lindane) cannot be used on the scalp, but it should be kept out of the eyes and mouth. Alternatively, if necessary, scabies can be treated with ivermectin, an oral treatment effective in a single dose. Discuss both options with your doctor. ...Read more

Itching all over for over a year not scabies not bed bugs my hands are getting little blisters on my fingers and now what looks like a pimple on hand?

Pruritis.: Itchiness without rash is called pruritis. There can be many reasons for this. You need to see a dermatologist for a full workup. In then mean time, try sarna over the counter lotion as many times per day as you need to help with the itchy and start a daily regimen of zyrtec (cetirizine). Take consistently without fail to see if changes. The blisters on the hands may be dyshidrotic eczema. A derm can diagnose. ...Read more

Scabies: Are you positive these were scabies? If yes, would advise that it is not hard to get re-infected. Scabies is usually spread by close physical contact. It can also be spread by using the same bedding or clothing as someone who is infected with scabies.

It would likely take: More than medication to rid your home of scabies or bed bugs. If not eradicated in the home- the bugs will keep coming back. T requires effort to get rid of scabies. 1st, you ; all members of your household need to be treated. Ivermectin is an effective medication for treating scabies. 2nd, clean (ie. Hot water in machine) clothes, bedding ; towels you've come in contact w). There may be things. ...Read more

I believe I have Norwegian scabies. I have weak immune system from hep b and I already had scabies years ago, the main region is my scalp. Is there an?

Probably not Scabies: Scabies infestations tend to make you itch in all the private places, and on your arms and legs. If your scalp is the only part of your body involved its more likely you have head lice. They are tough enough. If Home remedies and OTC treatments are not working see your PCP for a prescription medication. Also see:

See below: This does not sound like chicken pox. It sounds more like chronic hives. Some people will have recurrent hives, and the cause is found less than 5 percent of the time. Triggers, can be exercise, cold or heat exposure, stress, etc. The key is treatment. Your child should take 1 tsp of Claritin (loratadine) daily. She should also see an alllergist. ...Read more
