Is Having Pneumona Related To Low Sats
Can a spinal tap cause low heart rate? If not what could cause low heart rate? What am i @ risk of due to having low heart rate? How to gain normalhr
One cause of low BP is acute infection or shock. In case acute infect., low BP is constant low during the day?Or can be normal sometimes and others low?
If multiple troponin levels are normal, how unlikely is a person to be having acute HF & Conjestive HF?
If somebody has shortness of breath, but a pulse oxi meter gives healthy results, is it still possible to be cardiac related shortness of breath?
Yes: I am assuming you are referring to an oxygen saturation. All that lets you know is that the oxygen coming in is oxygenating your blood. Given your age, it seems unlikely you are having anything cardiac related. Looks like they have been looking into it further with the holter monitor and the echocardiogram. Trust your doctors, they are doing a good job! ...Read more
How is the heart rate when chest pains occur due to heart problems, high or low or just normal? It should be high though bcoz heart struggles to pump.
Hi! I have symptoms of pulmonary embolism, but d-dimer test is normal. Is it possible to have pulmonary embolism with normal d-dimer?
Is it possible to have normal bnp and high c reactive protein in idcm and still have heart failure symptoms?
Yes: A normal bnp means that your left atrial pressure is low and but you can still have a low cardiac output and feel crummy from chf. High CRP doesn't correlate with CHF symptoms. Also, bnp is a range. Bnp of <10 is very low but bnp of 100 is "normal" but may be too high for someone with idcm. Also, there is a lag time: the bnp can be rising when symptoms are present. ...Read more
Depends: If you have had a large pe, it is normal to be short of breath for a few weeks or months as you recover, no matter what your INR is. If you have been ok with a therapeutic INR but now you are short of breath with a low inr, have yourself checked, or get some Lovenox or Arixtra shots while you are adjusting your Coumadin (warfarin) to a desired inr. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Probably: True food poisoning is a short lived event. Your body reacts acutely to things like that by increasing neutrophils. Lymphocytes respond more slowly. Lower than normal total lymphocyte levels would be from something else. Neither of those findings are diagnostic and it's hard to tell without actually knowing the real numbers you have. ...Read more
My mom is being hospitalized for pneumonia and a possible blood clot or COPD i'm very worried could it be deadly her oxygen and blood pressure is low?
Unanswerable: There are just too many unknowns here. I am very sorry to hear of your mother's troubles, but it sounds like she is in the right place and getting the right attention. In these scary scenarios this kind of answer must come from the medical team working with her in person. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Parent had pacemaker put in due to low heart rate (30's-40's). Had high BP and is overweight. What are the likely causes of decreased heart rate?
Slow heart rate: Just answered this earlier. We had no definite cause to this. The sinus node, or the heart pacer is just simply slow in firing, could have been from previous ischemia but we can't say for certain. It is not a common condition but we see it enough and yes more in the elderly, so the ischemic theory probably is true. ...Read more
My 7 month old is admitted due to increased heart rate, likely due to consumption of ventolin. How serious is this?
Depends on situation: Infants easily tolerate heart rates in the 200/min range for a variable length of time. If intake has stopped, 1/2 should be out of babies system in 4-6 hours with 1/2 the remainder in another 4-6h. Baby should do fine if this was the cause. If there is another issue the outcome depends on that issue. ...Read more
Will having low blood pressure cause fainting spells? could it be related to an undiagnosed A-fib?
Fainting yes...: The fainting can absolutely be related to low blood pressure. The afib is less likely unless your heart rate is going too fast to perfuse your brain. There is less of a connection between afib and low blood pressure, unless you heart rate is going fast, usually >120-140. Check your blood pressure, get an ECG and possibly a holter or event monitor depending on the frequency of events. See your dr. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
