Guardisil is an immunization used to prevent certain sero types of the virus so as to help prevent cervical cancer. It is given to young females and some give it to males. The wart is caused by the human papilloma virus.

This includes treatment with topical medications, as well as laser ablation, excision & removal or freezing. There is a 30% chance of recurrence with this type of infection.

Meds or destruction: There are some home treatments that you may use by prescription. The two best that I like are Condylox (podofilox) Gel or veragen gel. At the office I prefer to treat genital warts with both liquid nitrogen and the pulsed dye laser.

Yes: Warts are contagious if the area is susceptible. Not all body parts and not all people are susceptible. Also, there are 99 species of hpv. The one that causes common warts on your hand is not the same one that causes cervical cancer. Regardless, watch where and who you touch with that hand, and see a dermatologist to get rid of it.
