Is Gatorade Good After Throwing Up
No: It is high caloric, low-to-no nutritional value empty calories. It is no better than a candy bar or soda-pop. If your child runs a half-marathon or more daily, it may be indicated to replenish depleted stores of electrolytes and sugars, but otherwise it is not good for children. It was designed with high-power college athletes in mind, not little kids playing around in the back yard. ...Read more
My son is ill with pneumonia, hates pedialyte, and won't drink anything...What should I do I know gatorade isn't good, but not sure what to give him
If: If he has diarrhea, then pedialyte is the best thing to give him since sugary drinks can worsen diarrhea. If he does not have diarrhea, then you can give him anything he wants! Water, juice and milk are all fine along with tea and broth. Keeping him hydrated is one of the best things you can do for him while he heals from his illness. Good luck! ...Read more

What is better for you to drink, water or gatorade? I heard the sodium in sports drink is not good for you! Thanks
I just found out that I have a small kidney infection & I'm taking amox-clav every 8 hours for a week, I heard that Gatorade is good but idk, is it?
Lots of fluids: Most kidney infections are rather serious, and I'm not sure what to make of a "small" one. Maybe you only have a lower urinary tract (bladder) infection? Either way, high urine output can be helpful in improving symptoms before the antibiotic starts to work, so drink lots of fluids. It doesn't matter whether it's water, soft drinks, juices or Gatorade. (Just not mostly beer or other alcohol!) ...Read more
My boyfriend has been throwing up dosnt want to eat has the chills been running a fever what does he have I gave him moltrin been drinking gatorade what to do
It sounds like he had a case of food poisioning or a stomach flu. If he has not improved by now he should see a doctor. Often times when these illnesses persist the patient suffers from dehydration. In this case he may require IV fluids. In addition, antibiotics may be necessary if a bacterial cause is found.
Take care. ...Read more

I just threw up yesterday, is it okay if I drink Gatorade? Or will I puke it up. The weird thing is I was coughing up flem and had a stuffy nose and plugged up ears about a week before I threw up. How did just a tiny cold turn into throwing up? Is it also
It isn't: Gatorade does not hydrate you better than water. Gatorade contains a lot of salt and sugar that most people absolutely don't need when exercising. It's designed for marathoners, but unfortunately marketed to everyone. Because a commercial (or a buddy, or a coach) tells you it's good does not make it so. ...Read more
Diet soda: My vote would be gatorade if done in moderation. There are studies that have shown that people who drink alot of soda are obese even if it is diet. The absolute right answer would be water. I usually tell my patients that if they eliminate liquid calories from their diet, that alone will help them drop significant pounds. Liquids pass through your stomach faster and do not keep you full. ...Read more
