Some feel that eating late, candy or otherwise, contributes to acid reflux and the development of esophageal disorders, so you might consider eating the candy, if you must do so, earlier in the evening. ...Read more

Maybe not IBS?:
Irritable bowel syndrome is a condition where the intestines react badly to certain types of sugars (the acronym is FODMAPS) - especially processed sugar like candy.
So if other foods are causing symptoms and candy is the only food tolerated, then the diagnosis of IBS could be incorrect. In this situation it might be helpful to seek a second opinion from your doctor for further investigations. ...Read more

Occasionally bad diaper rash is caused by a yeast (candida). This can be treated with a prescription cream called nystatin.
As far as your question goes, there is some evidence that increased sugar in the diet can cause yeast to flourish, so you may want to limit his sugar intake, plus it's not good to introduce too much sugar at such a young age. Large amounts of sugar in the diet is putting him at risk for diseases like obesity and diabetes.
Also if your son is getting a rash after each bowel movement, then you should make sure you change him as soon as he goes, keeping him as clean and dry as possible will help.
Make sure you take him in to see his doctor for evaluation and treatment of the rash.
