Is Diarrhea A Symptom Of Fifth Disease
Can fifth disease in children cause bad diarrhea? What are some home remedies I can use for her rash? When will it be gone? Child is 2.
No diarrhea: I cannot recall ever seeing a case where diarrhea was involved. They can occur simultaneously for a number of reasons but it is not a listed symptom. I would ignore the rash. It comes up from the inside so outside creams or treatments don't help. The rash may flare with a warm bath or play outside and can persist for weeks. They are not contagious when the rash appears. ...Read more

2yr old has viral infection, diarrhea has been brown and liquidity with green mucous? Doctor said she has Fifths Disease. Not sure what else to do?
Viral diarrhea: Typically, diarrhea that results from this infection should only last a few days, but other factors such as diet, other underlying medical conditions, and medications can cause it to last longer. Sugary drinks draw fluid into the stool and can make it worse and should be avoided (Pedialyte is recommended). Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, plain chicken and crackers may help stool binding. ...Read more

No: Diarrhea is not a sign of gallbladder disease. Diarrhea can occur in some patients after having the gallbladder surgically removed, due to excessive bile release into the intestines. Can low dose of amitriptyline take away symptoms of celiac disease? Specifically, chronic diarrhea and lack of appetite?
Combating symptoms: Amitriptylene has anticholinergic and antihistaminic side effects that can slow the bowel and increase appetite. In this way it can counteract some of the symptoms you're having (the chronic diarrhea and poor appetite). You'll need to work with your doctor to arrive at a dose that works well for you, balancing out these processes in a positive way. You'll still need to avoid gluten. ...Read more

What's Ur gut tell U: There are a variety of rash producing viruses that have little importance to the real scheme of things & most can be managed at home. If the kid is playful for most of his/her day, feeding & wetting diapers as usual, I see little need for an office visit.
