Is Crying A Symptom Of Normal 04 Mo
What could be the cause of a low grade fever for almost 2 months? (99.4-99.8) my normal temp is around 97.8.
Temp elevation: We really would not consider this a fever, but it is certainly a change from your baseline. There are a number of possibilities - from a low grade infection, such as sinuses, pelvic, intraoral -to non-infection causes such as low grade inflammation somewhere or metabolic, such as mild hyperthyroid. You need a head to toe exam from both doctor and dentist. Write down anything else unusual recently. ...Read more

Idk why I keep worry about colon cancer at 22 but my only symptom is intermittent lack of appetite is intermittent lack of appetite a symptom of cc?
Not generally: Colon cancer is not unheard of in 22 year olds, but is extremely rare, unless there is a strong family history (genetic predisposition, various syndromes). See your doc, get examined, mention your fears; get reassured. If there are significant abnormalities that deserve further ealuation, then they can be addressed as well. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 4 year old had fever of 103 for 2 days. It left for 6 hours and is now back (101) is this typically a sign of infection?
Yes : Did the fever leave on its own or did you give any med? A virus usually will cause a very high fever that will go up and come down all on its own without meds. A bacterial infection will more typically cause a fever that goes up and stays up and will not come down without help. Both are infections and both can be contagious . If you are concerned never be shy about calling/seeing the dr. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My newborn daughter (born at 36 weeks 2 weeks old) has diarrhea, dry skin, sweating, runny nose temp of 97.8, and is a lot fussier. Is this normal?
M.D. visit: I agree that your daughter should be seen at her pediatrician's office. A newborn born slightly prematurely is susceptible to infection. If she has had diarrhea, more than 8 stools per day and has dry skin, she may be dehydrated. Sweating may indicate that she has a fever that has not been measured, and the fussiness can be associated with fever, pain, infection and a number of conditions. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 2 two year old gets a high fever lasting 2-3 days about every other month. Is this normal? There are no other symptoms with it
Can be: The average toddler is expected to get 5-7 respiratory illnesses/yr to age 5 and 1-3 diarrhea illnesses in the same time frame. To space it every other month would be pretty common. Some kids run fever with their illnesses as a sigh of a robust immune system, some seem to have the same illness & never show many symptoms. In a kid that's growing & developing well & don't worry about that pattern. ...Read more
