Is Creatinine Level Of 1 3 Bad
Normal: By definition, it's normal. However, most obs will reassess your risk factors and determine if repeat testing, diet modification, or finger-stick testing is helpful. Some patients develop gestational diabetes later in their pregnancy and this factors into your doc's decision process. Follow a reasonable diet & exercise program to help deter gdm or ask your OB the best course of action. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My mother has a bun of 53, creatinine 1.81. bun/creating ratio is 27. electrolytes normal. What does all of this mean?
Kidney concern: Chances are that Mom's kidneys aren't working as well as they should. If she's elderly, this may just be from old infections or high blood pressure, but she'd do well to comply with her physician's guidance. This isn't a great danger to life or an assurance of serious disease to come, and it may simply be the effects of medication -- ibuprofen is famous. But it does need evaluation. ...Read more

What is the meaning of the following blood test results creatinine from 1.67 down to 0.83. Ast(sgot) 50, bun creat ratio 22.00, est GFR less than 60?
Kidney and Liver T: Egfr (normal >60), creatinine, bun/cr ratio are all lab values to suggest how the kidney function is, ast is an enzyme secreted by the liver, if its elevated there is something wrong with the liver (it varies from mild to severe). I have bilirubin level of 3.4, creatinine of .28, BUN/Creatinine of 43, and protein of 5.8. Everything I read suggests severe liver disfunction, ????
Kidney function: The results you listed are more related to renal function. Make sure you are drinking enough water and that you f/u with your doctor. This can happen when you are dehydrated, have an infection (viral or bacterial) with certain medications. Find out what the cause of the dysfunction is so that you can properly address and treat it. Ankle swelling kidney creatinine .68 bun 13 ratio was 19.1 which is close to high ratio does that mean kidney or heart issues?
Neither : The BUN and creatinine are normal and the ratio is not important in your labs. The numbers are as good as they get. A good physical exam and history is needed to determine the cause of your ankle edema. The numbers don't point to kidney disease and work up heart disease need to see your MD. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Of 3 tests on different days albumin/creatinine ratio was 37.77, 34.09, & 36.87. I am healthy and exercise often. Is this kidney damage?
I'm 37, male, 140 lbs. My CREATININE Level is 124.53 uMOL/L. The normal range is 50-120. In my Urinalysis, protein is negative, WBC is 2-3.
**BUN/creatinine level is 54.7**??? urea nitrogen is 29, creatinine is 0.53, eGFR is 128, potassium is 4.4. Cause for concern? I literally cannot find anything anywhere about a BUN/creatinine level that high.
BUN/GFR 54.7: I would not worry. It is a ratio-calculated value . Your BUN is 29 ( normal < 20) but that could be due to either mild dehydration or high protein in body( unless you are actively bleeding) . Your creatinine is 0.53 which is great. The ratio is BUN/Cr 29/0.53 = 54.7 . Your GFR another number we look seriously at is 128 great, potassium is 4.4 normal . Do not worry it is an artifact of the math ...Read more
I had one more quick question. If bun 25, creatinine 1.5, bun/creat ratio 17, egfr 58...The egfr means im in stage 3 CKD right? 58% kidney function?
Stage 3 CKD: You are correct in that your estimated GFR of 58 ml/min puts you into stage 3 chronic kidney disease. Remember, your GFR is estimated. The actual result may be greater, or lower, than the egfr. To get your acutal gfr, have a 24 hour urine for creatinine clearance. Ask the physician who orders this test to have proteinuria (p) assess in that sample. If p is present, it may needed to be treated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
