Stay Calm: It is most important to stay calm. Stress and worrying is not good for your blood pressure. You do not need to count your salt intake with such accuracy. Just do not use extra salt. It is recommended to take less than 2 gms of salt per day, around 1.5 gms or less is even better. Make sure you drink enough water. For now, you have not exceeded the daily recommended dose. Neither: There is no evidence that any of those dietary restrictions are helpful during pregnancy. Avoiding excessive weight gain is great, but your goal for weight gain depends on your starting weight. Trust the test: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and this medication will not affect the test. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period. If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more
