Unlikely: Costochondritis & anxiety are not related. Costochondritis is inflammation of the cartilage between the ribs & sternum. You may be anxious due to the pain caused by costochondritis thinking it may be a heart attack. Anxiety in of itself can also cause symptoms of chest pain. Weed / costochondrit: Is it costochondritis and not asthma? Costo you press and feel pain asthma you fell short of breath. Any inhalant can irritate the lung and if you have asthma can exacerbate it.
