Cod liver oil is: Rich in vitamin a and d. It was given to millions of kids at one time for the vitamin d mostly when rickets was a more common problem in the us. I think theres a few times i saw the "little rascals" get there cod liver oil on old reruns. I don't think so: Some physicians believe that fish oils are helpful for inflammation and/or blood lipid problems. I have no reason to believe that this will specifically help hepatitis b though it could help the joint disease. Unknown: Cod liver oil and other fish oil supplements are fairly good sources of o3fa of which dha and epa are two types. The exact dietary requirements are unknown. Se's are uncommon but some preps may contain contaminants. There are a lot of purported benefits to o3fa and dha in particular but they are still unsubstantiated .
