I used coconut oil for lubricant 5 days ago, and my vagina/vulva is burning, itchy, swollen, painful. I used monostat 1, and still feel uncomfortable.

I used coconut oil for lubricant 5 days ago, and my vagina/vulva is burning, itchy, swollen, painful. I used monostat 1, and still feel uncomfortable.

Allergic reaction: I agree that you should never use coconut oil as a vaginal lubricant. I suggest careful washing with baby soap to remove any remnants and then use Benadryl and topical 1% hydro cortisone to the external vaginal area. See your GYN on Monday. Stop th Monistst and use Sitz baths ( 2 lbs of epsom salts in 6-8 inches of warm water, for 15 minutes 3-4 times a day. ...Read more

You might consider visiting your doctor to determine if there is a different diagnosis. Oregano oil will not treat a yeast infection. ...Read more

I used baby oil while intercourse and now i have a weird shredd paper like substance in my vagina what should i do?

Lubricants: First, don't use baby oil for sex. You need to use something meant for vaginal lubrication that is water based like K Y liquid or astroglide. Even silicone based lubes are better and less irritating than oil. This could be a yeast infection or reaction to the baby oil. I would see a gynecologist to determine which it is. ...Read more

It : It sounds like you could be dealing with a vaginal yeast infection. Often times yeast infections will cause severe itching and may even lead to cuts/abrasions. On the other hand you could be dealing with an allergic reaction or even a herpes outbreak. The best thing would be to see your doctor for an evaluation and appropriate treatment. Good luck. ...Read more
