I have celiac disease, and also cannot gain weight, is apetamin safe to take, one doctor said it is not safe at all.
Ok but: This drug is same as Periactin- an antihistamine we used to use to stimulate appetite. HOwever, it does cause most people to be drowsy and thus not the safest drug to choose. You likely have problem getting food without gluten and thus it is time for you to consult a dietitian. Make sure that you don't have another disease condition which may cause weight loss. ...Read more

Hi, I've started my apetamin on Friday, March 6, before bed with 5 mL. The next day I didn 't feel hungry at all, and since then, I still don't see a change in my appetite. Is it normal for this to happen? And should I continue to take it?
Appetite stimulants: Apetamin is a blend of cyproheptadine and some vitamins which is supposed to stimulate your appetite. I have to say that appetite stimulants are pretty iffy. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't and I have not known them to work instantly, usually they take a few days. I don't like them but if you need to gain weight, it's worth a try. Good luck :) ...Read more

I'm 18 years of age weight 174 lbs and would like to use apetamin to gain weight in some areas so they can be fuller like my butt. Is it s good idea?
No.: Taking a daily multivitamin is a good idea. There is no way that you can gain weight to only certain areas of your body. If you gain weight, it will go everywhere. The best way to manage this is to maintain a prudent, low-carb diet; and exercise daily for good muscle tone. With your body and your weight, find satisfaction with the size and shape that you have inherited; but stay conditioned! ...Read more
Would u recommend taking apetamin when being a house wife and looking after a 6-month old and 3year old?
Not necessarily: This is a combination of an antihistamine known to stimulate appetite & some amino acids. If you believe the hype from advertising it may have some positive placebo effects, but as far as recommending you spend money on the product I can't. Trying your best to have a balanced diet & get effective sleep are your best aids. Talking the spouse into doing more is also a good idea. ...Read more
