I've been prescribed duromine 40mg because I've gained 20kg in a yr, but it's not uncommon for me to get anxiety. Should I just avoid the medication?
Hard to tell: Duromine can cause restlessness and insomnia so I believe you take it in the day---you could stop it for a few days and see if your anxiety got better----however a lot of times folks deal with their anxiety by eating too much----so you would have to work some of it out in psychotherapy----seeing how you got overweight to start with-----best take up some sport or excercise---hope this helps---sid k ...Read more

Different medication: 50 mg of Loratadine is far and above the recommended dose. Suicidal thoughts are a rare side effect but on a dose that high, you may also experience sedation. There are many other medications that can be used to treat hives and some of them (like hydroxyzine, doxepin, or amitryptiline) can have some affect on anxiety too. Those tend to be sedating however.
