Can you tell me about post-lasik & alphagan (brimonidine) p drops?

Can you tell me about post-lasik & alphagan (brimonidine) p drops?

Care after lasik: The care after Lasik is pretty simple...Use the drops and protect the eyes. Alphagan (brimonidine) drops are sometimes used to reduce the pupil size if the large pupil is causing any symptoms. This might be temporary glare with night driving or halos around lights.Larger pupils are most common in younger patients up to 35-40 and this lessens with age so our "older" 40+ year old patients usually have normal size

For what reason would an eye dr not give me alphagan (brimonidine) for eye pain?

Not for eye pain: Alphagan is a glaucoma medication not a pain reliever. It contains brimonidine, a type of medicine called an Alpha agonist that causes the ciliary body to reduce the amount of fluid that filters out of the blood vessels and thus would raise the pressure in the eye. It does the opposite- it causes eye pressure to drop.
