Yes: If you have to take a narcotic for severe pain, then the vicodin (hydrocodone) is appropriate. It is mixed with tylenol, (acetaminophen) which is also called Acetaminophen or apap. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a different category of analgesic than aleve, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (nsaid). Generally speaking, if you are in good health and or otherwise young and well, for short-term use it is likely to be very safe to take two tablets of naproxen, 220 mg per pill, twice a day, for 2 to 3 weeks.
