If liver issues or if you drink routine alcohol would use ibuprofen (Advil) & if stomach or kidney probs acetaminophen (tylenol). It depends: Feverfew will do nothing to help an acute migraine but if taken daily has been shown to prevent migraines. For an acute migraine Tylenol works better for some, Advil better for others, though Excedrin Migraine which combines acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine is a good choice too. Hanover headache: Tylenol for hangover headaches doesn't do much, according to my patients. Aleve liquid caplets seem to help the best. 1-2 tabs can last 12-24 hours.
