Lost my mom an her mom within 12mths, both from non small cell adenocarcinoma that spread to bones, etc, both smoked, i don't. Hereditary? Worry?
Not likely inherited: Most non small cell lung cancer in smokers is not hereditary but it is possible in your case. The reality is that if you do not smoke, there is nothing further to do except live a healthy lifestyle. It varies: It depends on their organ of origin. Adenocarcinoma of breast is much different than one arising in the colon or in the lung. Sometimes we can not find their primary origin...So called adenocarcinoma of unknown primary(acup) which has once of the worst outcomes and it causes serious trouble in 4-6 months.
