I've had hiccups since nov. Had a ugi and I have acid reflux I've been taking tecta for 2 weeks and no relief, could something be wrong with my diaphragm?

See below: Hiccups are not uncommon and do not always imply anything serious going on. I would advise tyou to find a better medicine(a good antacid) to control your acid reflux. There are many over the counter medicines of varying potenncies. Zantac (ranitidine) is cheaper; Prilosec is a bit more effective but also costs more. Careful on the long: Be careful with the a ppi as a 19 year old man. With prolonged use, they can cause rebounding (addiction) and seem to cause osteoporosis. Try using an h1 blocker like zantac (ranitidine) or pepcid. Give it a couple of weeks and see if it resolves. If it does not, follow up with your pcp. ...Read more
