A curiosity...: ...but it sounds like your particular skin eruption is transient and can be relied upon to self-resolve. Suggest you take a picture next time and show your family doctor for piece of mind. Situational rashes as described can be seen in many settings and with variable clinical significance.

See a doctor: This may either be an allergic reaction, or the rash is the result of whatever illness is in progress. Two weeks is too long to have a "viral" infection and not have it seen by a competent professional. See a doctor asap.

Parvovirus B19: You may be describing erythema infectiosum caused by infection with parvovirus b19. He will probably develop a lacy rash on arms or trunk within a few days. Can augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) cause a non-allergenic rash if pt has virus infection due to viral antibodies?

Can augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) cause a non-allergenic rash if pt has virus infection due to viral antibodies?

Yes: Yes, but it doesn't depend on a viral infection. Many meds, including antibiotics like Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) (amoxicillin/clavulanate) can cause bothersome rashes like contact dermatitis (an allergic reaction) or urticaria (hives). Less frequently & much more serious, it (like other meds) can cause a skin reaction called erythema multiforme and stevens-johnson syndrome requiring immediate medical attention.

I'd like to know how to treat a wet cough after a viral infection.

Difficult: These annoying coughs occur when the lining of the throat is renewing itself. They are especially prevalent if you had laryngitis. Use of cough drops and cough syrup can help. Sometimes the use of antihistamines liike chlortrimetron can help. For immediate short acting stopping of the cough, cut a thin slice of fresh ginger, coat it with honey and then chew on it - gives remarkable relief.

Hi, my whole body has been feeling sore ever since I recovered from viral infection last week. Is it normal?

Most likely yes: Muscle and joint pain is not uncommon with viral infections. Most of the time this resolves over a few weeks but rarely can go on longer. However, if you notice any weakness in an arm or leg, changes in the color of urine, difficulty with speech, swallowing, or breathing, you need to seek medical attention right away. If your symptoms have not improved in the next 1-2 weeks, check with your doctor.
