Is A Rash A Sign Of Too Much Thyroid Medication
Hyperthyroidism: There are no food that reverse hyperthyroidism or make it worse.
My ANA IFA came positive with Homogeneous pattern and 1:80H, no butterfly rash but I had some itching & rashes on neck, now gone after 6 day medication?
See test explanation: It takes 4 of 11 criteria to diagnose Lupus. Positive ANA is your only one and not diagnostic because skin rash should be malar or discoid. Triamcinolone will treat many non-lupus rashes. For now don`t get worried. But get the pamphlet on Lupus from the Arthritis Foundation and keep it on hand if anything else develops. Repeating the test won`t add much information.
Recently (2 weeks ago) I started becoming itchy on my legs, then my arms, now it's moving up to my neck. No medication, no rashes etc. Why may this be?
Pruritus: The cause of itch can be difficult to determine especially if there is no rash. Systemis conditions affecting the liver, kidney, thyroid or bloodsystem can cause a diffuse ithch w/o a rash but sometimes the cause is less ominous. Please have a doctor evaluate you if it persists.
I get Jock's itch, facial and neck rashes and itch and dry skin the next day I consume alcohol. What could be the problem? I am 46 years old, on obese side, drink alcohol, say weekly...sugar and cholestrol border line with poor eating, not on medication
Easy to explain: It makes you sweat more and move less while sleeping. I'm glad you're eager to make a change. You're still young and probably vigorous. Head down to the local gym or sports center, let others see that you're working hard on your body, and they'll accept you as a friend and support you in your body transformation. A lot more is at stake than just the skin in your groin and neck. Best wishes.

Rash started on the back of the neck but has now turned into blisters that won't go away. Consulted doctor took medication still didn't go away help?
Reevaluation needed: You should come back to see your doctor for re-evaluation and ask for more questions. When the initial impression and treatment do not help, your doctor can step up, try different treatment plans or refer you to a specialist. Skin rashes needed to be seen to be properly diagnosed and treated. Your local doctor is in the best position to do that.

Itchy red, alligator like feeling, swollen rash on cheeks, neck & chest. Swollen eyelids. Dr. Said allergic reaction, steroid medication is not helpin?
Up the treatment: I see in your medication list that you are taking Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) an h1 antihistamine, and were prescribed a steroid cream. You can try an over the counter h2 antihistamine Loratadine along with the above. You may need to be switched from the steroid cream to steroids by mouth, so a followup with your doctor would be the next step. If you have lip/mouth symptoms, go to Emergency Dept.
Can thyroid disease cause rashes? I have one on my neck. I've tried everything I could think of it won't go away. I do take meds for thyroid disease.
Thyroid/rash: It should not. Send a picture of the rash to better help you.
Should a person with hyper thyroidism take typical thyroid medication like Synthroid (thyroxine)?
Usually not: Usually, a person with hyperthyroidism has too much thyroid hormone in her body. One would take Synthroid (thyroxine) (synthetic hormone) to make up for a lack of enough thyroid hormone due to HYPOthyroidism. A person with HYPOthyroidism who becomes hyperthyroid due to taking too high of a dose of Synthroid (thyroxine) might be asked to take Synthroid (thyroxine) (at a lower dose) even though she is temporarily hyperthyroid.

Thyroid: You cannot test yourself. You must see your doctor!
I'm starting to have rashes on my neck, where my thyroid goiter is, it's very painful and itchy, what cream can I use?

My daughter age 11 is showing signs of a strep rash on her torso and neck but has no fever. Her tonsils and adenoids were removed. Is this strep?
Maybe, maybe not: Many agents can cause a rash similar to the rash of strep, like dryer sheets, detergents, & the like. The rash of strep usually comes out about 12 hours after the fever. The only way to know for sure is to have her examined & tested. The source of the strep could be somewhere other than her throat;including her anus, sinuses or a skin wound.See 1 more doctor answer
