Is A Hemorrhoid Hard
Abdominal pain/tight around belly button, hard to pass worm shaped poop, explosive diarrhea. Have hemorrhoids. Hard to pass gas. Some foods upsetBelly?
Many reason for these symptoms: . The pain around the belly button is called Perry umbilical pain and usually associated with small intestinal cramping. This can occur as a result of food poisoning, viruses, inflammatory bowel disease, and sometimes even severe stress. Hemorrhoids are simply a symptom of poor nutrition along with lack of exercise. ...Read more
Not necessarily: This may be what is called a "thrombosed hemorrhoid", which is when clotted blood is trapped under the skin. If this is the case, the body usually reabsorbs it over time, or sometimes it can erode through the skin and evacuate externally. Safest course would be to have your doctor check it to make sure this is nothing more serious. ...Read more
How can you tell difference b/t hypertrophied anal papillae (gastro said I have this) & hemorrhoid? It's hard&solid&sometimes hurts&itches. Want it gone
I have a very hard, external hemorrhoid (my first). It seemed to come on quickly after 2 days of diarrhea. (no other symptoms) very painful. Help?
Sounds like: Thrombosed external hemorroid. Try otc topicals with hydrocortisone or anesthetic. Lying down to reduce pressure to area and ice pack can also help. If these don't work sometimes the clot needs to be surgically removed. Although painful, this condition will subside. More important is cause of diarrhea. Make sure it is nothing serious. Get colonoscopy if you have not had one. ...Read more
I'm being treated for internal hemorrhoids but still have hard stools. I've been taking fiber and stool softener, what else can I try?
Mural ax: I'm a huge fan of miralax, (polyethylene glycol) it's safe, cheap and very effective. Try adding a cap (17g) of this dissolved in water or juice daily, you can increase or decrease the amount to achieve stools that are the consistency of (I know it sounds gross) soft-serve ice cream ...Read more
I have been constipated for 5 days now, tried increasing water, 3 days of laxatives and stool softeners. Strained so hard have hemorrhoids, help?
Change your diet: You need to change your life style and your diet and keep your bowels regular and soft with the least use of laxative, you need to have a colonoscopy if you did not have one in the last five years, you need to eat more fruits and vegetables and eat more fibers and hydrate yourself real well, slow down on red meat and greasy food, exercise, use sitz bath and OTC medicine for hemorrhoid ...Read more
What do internal hemorrhoids feel like to the touch? (hard/soft) where are the hemorrhoids located?
Depends: Internal hemrrhoids are located inside the anus and come out with straining and then go back in. When really bad they just stay out and can't be pushed back in. Typically they are soft and mushy but can be hard if they clot off. ...Read more

If I was straining hard & pushing to go to the bathroom & got a hemorrhoid wouldn't I feel sudden pain?
They shouldn't hurt: Generally speaking, hemorrhoids should "hurt." they can obviously bleed and cause itching and discomfort but if there is pain when you have a bowel movement it may be a fissure instead. You also won't "get" a hemorrhoid all of the sudden with straining but you may burst a hemorrhoid and it could bleed. Hemorrhoids may get bigger with straining, but everyone has some degree of internal hemorrhoids. ...Read more

I have an external hemorrhoid, and I've been squeezing it hard between my fingers for a few minuets at a time, and it takes down the swelling, and har?
Use stool softener.: Both as treatment and prevention. Eat more fiber, drink more water and exercise more. Hemorrhoids are basically veins that have been injured by our bad habits. Don't let your stools become very hard, the job of the colon is to recover the fluid in the stool;if we do not drink enough water, or eat only highly processed food (no fiber) and don't exercise (the helper to bowel transit) we can expect problems. ...Read more

External hemorrhoid right outside anus, it's not hard & no pain, but bleeds. Been there a long while. Over the counter treatments for it please?
Treat constipation: For hemorrhoids I would use a stool softener to keep stools runnier. Also, it will decompress the bowel and allow the hemorrhoids to start to shrink. I would use any over the counter hemorrhoid medication. They all work reasonably well. Finally, I would use a step stool in the bathroom to keep knees above hips while on the toilet to minimize straining. ...Read more

Have perfect diet/exercise. For last 6 weeks am STRAINING to #2: Still going daily but now separate hard lumps. No other symptoms. Hemorrhoid? Cancer?
Bowl movement: Straining. Please start w/seeing your doc. A food plan that worked earlier may not be as good now. Doc may refer you to a GI doc. When medical condition is ruled out or identified consider seeing a nutritionist. Please don''t let your mind run away w/frightening diagnoses. They are VERY low on the scale of probabilities. Been experiencing Constipation, noticed small bump in rectal area (maybe hemorrhoids) now perineum feels a bit hard and swollen on the rectal side?
Hard bump: There are internal and external hemorrhoids. And you have constipation which may well be a proximal cause for your hemorrhoids. So first, get over constipation by altering diet (no rice, oatmeal, barley, bananas, milk) and Miralax (polyethylene glycol). Basically a bowel prep. Hopefully the bump will largely resolve itself by then. If not your GI doc will thank u for being so considerate. ...Read more
