Probably not, but...: Key questions would be how long ago did it happen? How much body surface is involved? Is the skin blistered? Are there any sun-sensitizing drugs involved? Yes: A small percentage of patients can develop a photo toxic reaction to the sun with severe burning and blistering to exposed areas, especially hands and face. Plus, no amount of sun is safe and if you are taking Doryx (doxycycline) for acne, the acne that resolves is going to want to tan 10x faster than normal skin and you will be left with brown polka dots on your face if you don't avoid the sun. ...Read more

Don't rub: any blister. Best just to moisturize the skin wel with lotion (aloe will also help the pain)l, otherwise let it alone, keep away from sun and let dead skin come off naturally in the shower. Use high SPF sunscreen in future. ...Read more

Painful skin: The only condition that i know of the causes painful or senstive skin difusely (all over) is fibromyalgia. While other neurologic conditions could do through injured nerves (eg., like multiple sclerosis, diabetes, etc), these conditions affect a few areas of the body, but not all over. ...Read more
