I'm still feeling bad 5 days after my colposcopy, biopsy, and cuterage my symptoms are nausea, tired, and sensitive stomach especially after a meal, is this normal?
I'd say see your Dr.: It may be normal to feel nausea and sensitivity after all these procedures, but they should subside after a week or so, and if you don't feel better soon, like in a couple more days or so you should see your doctor soon, to be sure no damage was done during those procedures you had. If there was an unintended woung made, you might have internal bleeding, so is good to see your dr. If not better. ...Read more
Hello. I had colposcopy done last tuesday I had coffee like bleeding for about four to five days. Its gone for about five days now I have odor?
Follow up with your: Physician for specific advice. Many physicans use a solution to coagulate the biopsy sites that resembles coffee grounds when it dissolves. The presence of blood in the vagina raises the ph and can lead to Bacterial vaginosis which is associated with odor. What you describe is not unusual after cervical biopsy. An exam would make sure all is well. ...Read more

I had a colposcopy Friday and I start bleeding yesterday is really dark and today I have little pieces black coming out. Is that normal?
Perfectly Normal: We usually warn that spotting for up to a week is normal after cervical biopsies. Your cervix has to heal and any spotting will turn darker over time. Silver nitrate is often used to control small bleeding areas (cautery) and this is most likely what you're seeing. No worries and be sure to go back for your results. Take care. ...Read more

Hi there, I had a colposcopy/biopsy on the 12th of Oct and only really started bleeding on the 19th. Bleeding gets heavier daily, is this normal?
Normal: It's VERY important to get a colposcopy if your pap is abnormal. A colposcopy is a speculum exam where special stains and magnifying lenses are used to look for pre-cancers on your cervix. If there are abnormalities, your GYN will take a biopsy, which is uncomfortable, but lasts ...Read more

HPV: Colposcopy is a procedure where the doctor looks at your cervix with a microscope and biopsies anything that appears abnormal. If your results are negative, that means that the virus hasn't caused any damage yet. Stay strong and healthy, don't smoke and get regular paps to catch any abnormalities that may occur in the future. ...Read more
E6/e7 detected colposcopy showed one tiny area of cin1 & transformation zone was normal. Better that I ask for hysterectomy?
No, that's overkill: CIN I is just the very first stage of abnormality and studies have shown that it often reverses itself during long term MD monitoring. If there are other GYN related problems such as recurrent ovarian cysts, abnormal pap smears, endometriosis or pain then consideration can be given to more definitive surgery like hysterectomy. Otherwise, that surgery would be gross overkill at this stage. ...Read more
Had colposcopy and biopsy today and now have small black almost scab looking things inside me coming out when I wipe. What is it and is it normal?

I did today the colposcopy I don't fell well even im afraid to go to the restroom or take a shower and I fell dizzy is that normal, when I will be ok?
Fairly soon: Everybody tolerates these procedures a bit differently. Sometimes women may feel faint/dizzy after manipulating or taking a biopsy of the cervix or uterine lining (endometrial biopsy). This should pass fairly quickly. Showering is fine unless you are not steady on your feet. The restroom should also be fine. If this persists or worsens past a day, you need to be reevaluated. ...Read more
I had a colposcopy and the doct used vinegar and iodine solutions. I have a brown coagulated tissue-like discharge. Normal? How long should this last?
Normal: It was vineger and iodine to make the lesions show up better, then after the put an orange-colored rusty substance to help stop bleeding. You can gently rinse it out in the shower with a finger and water and then you won't have a week or more of random orange-staining goo coming out. Good look, and ALWAYS were condoms so you won't have to go through this again. ...Read more
What causes white patches on cervix? Today dr saw inflamation+white patches, I should do colposcopy.10 month ago pop test normal+inflam severe. Worrid : (
It's possible sometimes women have a low level infection in the uterus or cervix. Often this isn't an std, but rather a local chronic infection. Sometimes it's not even an infection, but an irritation or allergy. It's almost never cancer, so I wouldn't worry. Sometimes a simple course of antibiotics cures. Here's a website:

Hi, I had a colposcopy yesterday and I've noticed a strange tissue like discharge coming from my vagina, I'm just wonder if this is normal?
Abnormal clls on PAP: This likely means that there are abnormal cells on your pap smear, and that colposcopy found nothing. But you will need and hopefully got a cervical biopsy during your colposcopy, and another pap next year at the earliest if your biopsy was negative. It is not normal, but it probably does not have enough evidence that there is neoplasia/pre-cancer. Keep close follow-up with your dr. To be sure. ...Read more

Is it normal to have my period twice in one month? I recently had a colposcopy biopsy a month ago. Should I be worried?
Normal cycles: Since normal cycles vary from 21 days to 35-42 days and months vary between 28-31 days, it is not uncommon at all to have 2 periods in one month or to skip a month. Even while on pills with a 28 day cycle, you will have 2 periods in one month twice a year. Hope this helps. ...Read more

I had a colposcopy and biopsy done. Could my biopsy come back normal even though the doctor say he seen a little growth? I have low grade cells.
Sure: The biopsy is part of the diagnostic process and even though the area was seen, the biopsy was done to assure that it was or was not problematic. Be glad the Biopsy was negative and keep making routine Dr. Visits as recommended by the GYN. Best wishes. ...Read more
Tested positive for HPV twice in 6 months but always had a normal pap. Had colposcopy with biopsy, waiting on results. Is a normal pap a good sign?
Yes, but not perfect: A normal PAP suggests that you have no evidence of cervical dysplasia (precancerous cells). A positive HPV test indicates that you have active virus that can cause dysplasia, which can lead to cervical cancer years later. Women over 30 who have normal PAP, but persistently +HPV (two years), needs Colposcopy to make sure dysplasia was not missed on PAP. See ASCCP Guidelines. Take Care! ...Read more
