Is the female genitalia supposed to have 2 openings besides the anus? Because i only have the very narrow opening which i assume to be the urethra.

Yes

Yes, a female has another opening besides the urethra -- it's called the vagina and is between the urethra and anus. in some cases it can be very narrow or even absent. In some cultures there may even have been certain procedures done which close or obstruct the vagina. I don't know how old you are, but seeing your physician or Ob-Gyn would be a good idea. S/he can examine and advise you.

I am a female. 18 years old. And I can see my urethra. it hangs out of my body. it's been this way for a while. is something wrong?

Prolapse?

Urethra
This would be pretty unusual. It sounds like a gentle gynecological exam with an emphasis on going over normal anatomy with you would be a good idea.

What to do about a red swelling around urethra? No pain or burning during urination. Sore to the touch, I'm a 33yo female

Prolapse?

Micturition
You could have a urethral prolapse or caruncle. You tend to see this in young people who strain with bowel movements or those with lower estrogen. Young women also have STDs to worry about, like a wart perhaps. Get checked by a doc.

Dr. Irina Kovatch answered:

Lap appendectomy 3days ago. Now, when urinating, feels like tightness/squeezing in lower left abdomen. No burning in urethra. 25 yr old female.

Maybe muscle trauma

Micturition
One of the ports during appendectomy is usually placed in the left lower quadrant. During urination the abdominal muscles are tightening and the injured muscle may cause painful sensation. The other 2 ports are placed in the midline where there is no muscle.

I'm a 20 year old female. I have recently discovered small painful bumps near my urethra area. I'm sexually active, but always use protection. Help!

See the GYN MD

Urethra
Se your Gynecologist for this. There are many things which can cause this. It might be as simple as irritation from hair removal , if you have recently done this. Could be dermatitis, viral (herpes) or bacterial. See the specialist right away. Good luck.
