My gf has irregular periods and she does not have a period at all unless she is on birth control is that bad?

Good question: Thanks for being concerned about your girlfriend. Her irregular periods off of birth control likely means she is not ovulating for some reason. There are lots of reasons for anovulation or irregular ovulation in the late teens, and she hopefully has discussed this with her ob/gyn. Using birth control is one way to try and get hormones/ovulation back on track. It's not bad that she's not ovulating. ...Read more

My gyn put me on birth control for a yr due to irregular period caz of ovarian cyst. My period came the month after I came off after that have not see it want a baby bad what should I do. Help?

Pills didn't do it: It would have been a good idea to do tests to find out why your periods were irregular before going on the pill. The pill may treat whatever this condition, but not cure it. Then when you stop the pill, what was causing the period to be irregular before you started on the pill is still present. Don't blame the pill, but you should see your doctor to find the cause. ...Read more

I am 18 and I have a brownish discharge, irregular period even on birth control, pelvic pain, pain during sex, low sex drive, what could it be?

Lots of things: Its hard to say whether all of these symptoms are related. If u r currently on ocps they can cause the brown discharge / break through bleeding and sometimes pain during intercourse. I think a pelvic us would be very helpful. Could be an ovarian cyst, or endometriosis causing pain with intercourse and irreg bleeding. Low sex drive may be due to some hormone imbalance (but ocps can cause it!). ...Read more
