Give it time: The yolk sac and gestational sac are the earliest structures to form inside the uterus. Do I need transvirginal ultrasound, not transabdominal? Have irregular bleeding but it could be caused by pill. How do you know?
Why do you need US?: If you have irregular bleeding caused by pill (birth control pills), that does not usually warrant an ultrasound. Unless there is another reason that you need an ultrasound, then I am not sure that either is necessary. If irregular bleeding is caused by pill, perhaps you need to be off that pill and perhaps try a different BCP. In a nonpregnant woman, a transvaginal US is often needed. ...Read more
