Perimenstrual: Symptoms such as you are having are very common. There are a couple of things that can be done to help these. You could take birth control pills which can decrease some of the symptoms especially the painful periods. Another option is to take an antidepressant for just 10 days of the month which helps with the other symptoms, fluoxetine. Talk with your GYN or FP about options. ...Read more

Your : Your periods sound move severe than average periods. I assume you are trying to use advil or tylenol (acetaminophen) for your discomfort. There are hormonal treatments (oral contraceptives) and implantable devices (implanon and mirena) that can help regular periods or get rid of them altogether if you are not desiring pregnancy at this point. ...Read more
