I'm seeing more products with pea protein as an ingredient. How does it compare nutritionally to other protein sources? Is it a safer choice than soy?
Not "safer": Pea protein powder has a certain composition of base amino acids as compared to other protein sources. The important thing is to mix it up and not use a single source chronically for weeks and months. Soy has come under scrutiny for its estrogenic and chemical containing compositions.
