Why do I scar so easily now? Doc says no thyroid issue, inflammation or iron deficiency. Hair/nails brittle skin/scalp dry, teeth pains/white tongue.
Hair were healthy in april 2013. Afterwards had hairfall due to iron deficiency. Now hair is thin & less growth. What vitamins can I take?
HairTodayGoneTomorro: Only one way to find out: wait and see. It'll "normally" grow about half an inch or so per month. No practical way to know if it will all grow back. But it will stop shedding, unless something else is wrong. Plus good hair and scalp hygiene will help. And figuring out what caused the deficiency in the first place. "Iron panel"???: Usually a low ferritin means low iron. But what was in the "panel"? If you have iron deficiency, why is it low? Heavy menstrual bleeding? "Symptoms" for years? Why go years without defining the cause and then correcting it? You will find references to iron deficiency as a reason for hair loss. Yes.: If you have hair thinning or hair that is brittle, from iron deficiency, then taking iron and correcting the deficiency should return you to normal.
