Burn: although it is difficult to determine without actually seeing the area, if it didn't blister it is likely superficial enough that it isn't likely to scar. Cool water: Cool water or holding an unopened popsicle may help with pain relief, as will ibuprofen. Do not pop the blisters. As long as they are intact, you don't worry so much about infection. Once the blisters rupture on their own, trim away the dead skin (nail scissors are good for this) and keep the wound clean. Home management: Without seeing it; sounds like you have a partial thickness 2nd degree burn. You can use something like bacitracin or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin). Home management challenge is finding the right type of bandage that won't stick to the wound. Also obviously use an oral analgesic like acetaminophen for pain. May take 2-3 weeks to heal.
