I burned my face with a curling iron 2 days ago and it left a red brownish mark , there was no blister but how can I let it heal without scarring ?

Burn: although it is difficult to determine without actually seeing the area, if it didn't blister it is likely superficial enough that it isn't likely to scar. It may remain pink for several weeks as it fades. Keep it out of sun or wear sunscreen to prevent hyper pigmentation. If it is raw at all apply antibiotic ointment. Good luck. ...Read more

My three year old burned his fingers on straightening iron and three fingertips have blisters, what do I need to do?

My three year old burned his fingers on straightening iron and three fingertips have blisters, what do I need to do?

Home management: Without seeing it; sounds like you have a partial thickness 2nd degree burn. You can use something like bacitracin or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin). Home management challenge is finding the right type of bandage that won't stick to the wound. Also obviously use an oral analgesic like acetaminophen for pain. May take 2-3 weeks to heal. Doc visit will hep determine if it needs excision and/or skin grafting to heal ...Read more
