Any doctors out there who have tried sleep/activity/etc. Tracking devices and services (e.G., jawbone's up, fitbit, nike+ fuelband)? Thoughts?
I use fitbit: I've been using fitbit daily for over 2 years. During the day it shows my activity patterns, and allows me to use that feedback to modify the behavior. For example if I have not met my step goal by dinner time a postrprandial walk becomes more attractive. At night, the fitbit can provide useful information regarding quality of sleep. The web software allows for tracking of calorie intake andweight. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Chest cts 2yrs apart, 2 bilat lung nodules (5-6mm) & several bilat and medias L-nodes most under 1cm, cts are same 2yrs apart, watch? Biopsy?
Lung nodules: Two years of stability for small lung nodules are generally sufficient to exclude malignancy. Biopsy should not be necessary. As far as the lymph nodes, malignancy is likewise highly unlikely, but discuss management with your doc, depending on the size/number of the nodes, there are other benign entities(for example sarcoid) that might need follow up. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Wrist splint may help; ergonomic keyboard; ice, rest, nsaids; if no relief, see orthopedic specialist. ...Read more

Issue: Throbbing headache, increased pulse upon standing from seating. / Regular BP @rest 110/76. Studying in cold room-- feet/hands often cold.
Orthostatic pulse: Do you only have headache when standing? An increased pulse when coming to standing is normal; caused by blood rushing to the legs from other areas. The body compensates by raising blood pressure and heart rate so you don't faint. Very common in healthy young women to feel faint at first if standing up suddenly. A headache along with this could be due to drinking too little water, or other reason. ...Read more

Possibly: I would not think that 3 small screws in a metacarpal bone would set off metal detectors but they could with the advances in scanning technology at airports. If you have any documentation relating to the surgery you received that could be helpful. If not I am sure they would just use a wand scanner to focus on areas of concern and only your hand should trigger a positive response. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

What type disorder: Having a symptom of numbness or burning means ALS is probably not the diagnosis. I would have expected painless weakness and weight loss for that condition. Feedback or cons/ bros on using all solid zirconium to support the length/span of 4 unit bridge covering teeth 11to14. Prevosiue porc bridge broken?
Very strong: An all zirconium bridge contains no metal and is very strong. Another bridge option is a porcelain over metal bridge, which you may already have that has broken. Other options for replacing missing teeth would be implant(s) to replace the missing teeth or a partial denture. However, we are big proponents for all-zirconium bridges that are more biocompatible with the tissue than metal based bridges ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Very outgoing person, leader, handle multiple projects but extreme anxiety at times when formal presentations req. Why, loraz/ambien bad side ?
Well: Both of these medications can lead to tolerance. It can become easy to fall back on them more and more when anxious.
