Measure your pulse: Do you feel that the racing heart awakens you or do you awaken and feel that your heart is racing? Either way, get a gadget that measures your blood pressure and pulse at the time your symptoms are happening. This would tell you if your heart is significantly racing(over 100 beats/minute). Calm flight: Lexotanil is similar to Xanax but may be worth a try. Ask your doctor about Buspar (buspirone) for anxiety, short-acting. An eye mask may also help to calm and sleep. Avoid caffeine the day before until you've landed as it will keep you awake and heighten anxiety. Listen to "sleep music" or whatever soothing sounds you prefer on youtube. There isn't a : Subconscious anxiety. I would guess that you may clinch or grind your teeth at night. That can go up with anxiety but not dependant on it. That would cause the jaw issue and is called bruxism or TMJ (tmjd more precisely) the trembling, hard to answer; headaches? The med.
