Internal Mammary Lymph Nodes
I have two slightly enlarged level 2 (one on each side) lymph nodes - rounded in morphology, hypoechoic and no internal vascularity. Thoughts of cause?
Located? Use HTPrime: Lymph nodes without symptoms are hard to figure out. Causes for lymph nodes include old infection, lymphoma, other cancers / malignancy, inflammation, or congenital (you're "born that way"). The only way to know with certainty is by biopsy, but weigh risk of surgery w/ symptoms before going that route. Use HealthTap Prime to discuss your symptoms & get better guidance. Thanks for asking. Good luck
Lymph Nodes: Hi, there are 500-700 LNs throughout our body, they are located in neck, head, above clavicle, armpits, groin, inner thighs, chest, abdomen, and they are connected to each other with a system called Lymphatic system.
As I was walking I felt lumps rubbing together in my inner thighs, as I rubbed booth inner thighs I felt lumps like maybe lymph nodes. Normal?
Probably not: Need exam for a doc to be able to say.
Infection: From a rash in the area or an infection draining into that lymph node basin. If these nodes are significant in size you must see doctor to identify cause of lymph node enlargement. A biopsy of the lymph nodes may be indicated if an infection can not be identified.See 1 more doctor answer
I was recently diagnosed with trich and treated forit. So I gguess its gone but now my lymph nodes are swollen on my inner right thigh what can I do?
11 year old son came to me saying he had a knot that hurts. It's in the inner thigh crease where I'd imagine lymph nodes reside. It is also red/tender?
Please take him to: His doctor. It sounds like it could be an abscess (infection), which may need to be drained and/or may need oral antibiotics. Meanwhile, you can have him apply warm compresses to the area, and take ibuprofen for pain. Also, please take his temperature, if you haven't already, and let the doctor know if he has a fever.
I have three swollen lymph nodes on my left inner thigh. They have been there april of 2011. I have chest pain and get sick about 4 times a month?
I have recurring pain, soreness on right side of abd just above my pelvic bone to where my inner thigh meets. Been like this for months. Lymph nodes?
RIght location: This is the right location for lymph nodes, but usually you could feel them here and tell that they are the cause of your tenderness. It looks as if you have several medical problems, possibly lupus, so you should take good care of yourself and have this checked.
Is ENT good to check enlargement lymph nodes Or should I see internal doc or hematologist No PCP in my country?
If by: "Internal" Doc you mean INTERNIST that would be your best bet! Next a Hematologist (In the US most Hematologists are in fact Internists! Hope this is helpful! Dr Z
I have painful lymph nodes under my arms and right side of my abd & down inner upper thigh & under belly button. Not swollen. Petscan (-). What is it?
Good question: Are we sure the problem is lymph node? Most lymphomas would be "hot" on pet. An infection could be low grade positive too. Not swollen? Is there anything to biopsy?
Swollen ing lymph node with off and on pain in inner thigh-going down. Does this mean it's draining or more lymph nodes swollen down thigh?
See doctor: If you have unexplained lymph node enlargement without improvement for more than a couple of weeks, you should consult your doctor re. The cause.
When having pain in lymph nodes (femoral) can it come and go or is it a more constant pain? Also do they run all the way down the inner part of thigh?
Lymph node: Yes you have thousands of lymph node channels. Now the question is why inflammation that comes and goes? I want you to go to your doctor to be examined
Lipomas? Pea to marble size lumps near inner tricepsx2, inner thigh near gracilisx2 and lumbarx2. PA said these are not lymph nodes No ins. Dangerous?
Lipomas R Benign: Nope. They are left alone unless they get infected, injured or become intolerably painful. These are cysts of fat cells and are very common.
Yes: Its well known that the groin nodes, those in the upper inner thigh, respond to various disease processes especially in the thigh, perineal area and buttock region where the pilonidal abscess can arise. These nodes are particularly susceptible to infection and malignancies in this region, which then travel via the regional lymphatics to the node bearing areas in the groin.
Firm, non visible, pea size slight painful lumps near inner triceps, gracilis on thigh and lumbar area. PA-C friend said lymph nodes aren't in this area. Could be lipoma? No ins. Warrant DR visit
Painful/ Stinging sensation in lymph nodes all over my body can it be HIV Related? Also have been Having bad head aches, along with an inner ear pain.
Is it normal for lymph nodes to swell on both sides of the neck? I don’t feel sick and they don’t hurt. It’s just a fullness feeling.
Not Normal: Bilateral swelling of the cervical lymph nodes is not a normal finding. An evaluation with your primary care physician would be suggested to make sure that what you are feeling are lymph nodes and not another anatomical structure.See 1 more doctor answer
Simple answer: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well.
