Developed dependency after clobetasol use for 3 months in vulva. Haven't used it for 2 days. I have moderate burning. Withdrawal symptom?

Probably: Clobetasol is a high potency steroid, and shouldn't be used on sensitive skin areas for so long. You might try using a weaker steroid cream such as over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream for awhile to wean off the clobetasol or you may need something stronger. Depending on why you are using clobetasol on that area, you probably should discuss this with a dermatologist or your gynecologist. ...Read more

No disease: If many doctors have cleared you then there is probably little to worry about. Red and swollen skin is either an infection such as yeast. Or, it is an allergy or sensitivity. Common skin irritants are soaps, creams, lubricants. ...Read more

Itching around the vulva. Only symptom. Used Monistat 1 (tioconazole) and relieved for a little while. What could this be? Should I apply it to the outside instead?

I would: You could have a yeast infection in the skin of the vulva. I would try the monistat externally for a couple of days. If that doesn't help then see your doctor or urgent care for an exam. ...Read more

I have two spots in my genital region near the vulva that are slightly red, not raised, and the only symptom is they itch like crazy! What is it?

I have two spots in my genital region near the vulva that are slightly red, not raised, and the only symptom is they itch like crazy! What is it?

Not certain.: When you say "near the vulva, do you mean "in the pubic area" or "on the outer labia"? Itchy lesions in the pubic area can be caused by insect bites (including flea bites and pubic lice, ugh!). Itching in the vaginal or labial area can be caused by an allergic reaction or a yeast infection. If they don't clear up in a day or so, or if you notice other symptoms, get medical care. ...Read more
