At age 88 I (male) suffer intermittent moderate pain in my lower right abdomen. It comes and goes.

Stomach: Kidney, intestinal, muscular problems. It appears you have had your heart checked, but even if you have fluctuations in your blood pressure, the stress on your heart from that may cause it. Urinary or bowel: Lower abdominal and kidney (flank/mid back) pain is most likely related to either a urinary tract infection (esp if associated burning with urination, increased frequency/urgency) or kidney stone (esp if more severe pain, blood in urine).
