See below: Hopefully you had a urine culture done and are on an antibiotic to which the causative bacteria is susceptible. Treatment should last 10-14 days depending on the antibiotic chosen. It is a good idea to have a renal ultrasound done to be sure you do not have any kidney stones or obstruction.
