I have been having upper back pain for about three weeks on my right side. Burning, comes and goes. Should i be worried? No sob? Motrin helps some.

Is there any reason i would get thigh burning pain at the same time my upper back pain flares up ? Both burning/prickly sensation. Very odd.

Probably ok: Your symptoms are unusual because there is tingling on both sides. If it was a stroke or a tumor, it would only be on one side of the body, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. It could be from anxiety, but that's an unusual way for it to present. There is a condition called myelitis, inflammation of the spinal cord, that could cause this. Ask your doctor to evaluate you with this in mind. ...Read more

Depends: Disc herniations that are large enough can cause nerve compression that will cause referred pain along the pathway of the nerve. The shoulder is mainly covered by nerves coming from the neck. There should also be referred pain into the upper arm or even hand.
