2 months late, 4 negative hpts but have nausea, headaches, insomnia, constantly tired, backache, slightly tender breast, dizziness... Am I Pregnant?

Unlikely: If you did the test correctly and it was negative at two months after a missed period, you are not likely to be pregnant. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

Insomnia: A poor sleep technic perhaps. Insomnia can occur when the environment where you sleep does not facilitate this important process. Make sure you have no distractions in the room like a tv, laptop. Ipad, smart phones, books, etc.. If still having problems may consider evaluation for restless leg syndrome or depression. Exercise during the day, not at night. Tell your physician about side effects. ...Read more

Dizziness, headache, slight nausea and I smelled blood once. I've been doing mentally taxing work. Could that be it?

Uncertain.: It's uncertain whether or not strenuous work might cause the symptoms mentioned. However, of concern is mention of the feeling of hopelessness. It might represent significant depression which merits a medical exam and possible treatment. In addition, Aleve (naproxen) and Ibuprofen (NSAIDS) can cause salt retention, stomach ulcers and kidney damage. See a doctor for a thorough history and physical exam. ...Read more

I woke up this morning to a metallic smell and it lasted all day, I also had headache, nausea and dizziness along with it. Later food tasted like metal too. What could cause this?

Metallic taste: There are many possible causes for your symptoms but one that is likely is that you had acid reflux. Acid reflux can result in a metallic taste in your mouth and symptoms are usually worse in the morning because you have had no food overnight to buffer the effects of stomach acid. Try Omeprazole 20 mg 15 minutes before your first meal. This should help your symptoms. ...Read more

See a doctor: Have you seen a doctor for this? It is unusual that it would be "everything" you eat. I might keep a careful diary of timing of these symptoms and explore why you feel like it is related to food.

I have been having issues with coffee on and off some days 1 cup makes me feel dizzy, and other days, gives me a headache, and nausea What causes this?

Caffeine: Is a stimulant. The brain and other electrically excitable systems in the body (heart) can be affected by even small amounts. Symptomatic treatment of headaches (Triptans) GI upset (Pepto Bismol) and insomnia (Benadryl) does not replace the treatment of underlying conditions. Caffeine is another symptomatic agent. It can stave off fatigue, treat depression or abort a migraine, but at a cost. ...Read more
