Inside Of Babys Ear Is Red
4 y/o bit on the ear by another child. Nurse said skin did not look broken. 3 days later, all redness gone but very tiny scratch Need antibiotics?
Human bites: Ah, daycare. If it's been three days and the ear looks better, the ear should be fine and shouldn't need antibiotics. Human bites are concerning for infection, especially in ends of skin like the ear. Bacterial infection should have appeared by now. Let your pediatrician know and be sure that immunizations are up to date. (Helpful if not directly related).See 1 more doctor answer
My baby got her ears pierce and now they're red, swollen, and black gooey stuff. Can it be a infection?
Possibly: An infection is the most likely answer. Less likely would be an allergy to the nickel. You should have her seen by a doctor and her earrings need to be removed
I saw dark red and smelly discharge in my 2 year old child's ear. She seemed fined the she day, what could it mean?
Wax vs. Infection: It is could likely be an ear infection with a small perforation (which caused the blood mixed in with the infection). Some children do not complain with ear infections. It could also be excessive wax as well. The smell makes it more likely an infection but you should follow up with a specialist to make your child gets the appropriate treatment one way or another.See 2 more doctor answers
My child is 19 month old her outer ear on the top seems to be red and blistering is there something I can do for this?
See your DR.: Neosporin is not only useless, it is a common sensitizer causing allergic reactions. Same for bacitracin. Studies clearly show that they neither cure nor prevent infections. Throw it away. Same for triple antibiotic. Needs to be seen to determine what, if any, treatment might help.See 2 more doctor answers
My first Drink after having my baby a simple malt that I've had before and my face ears chest got all red hot and ich this has never happened before?
Haven't seen this: But it may relate to the fact that you list both oxycodone and hydrocodone as your medications. It is NOT a good idea to consume any alcohol while on opiate analgesics, because alcohol may increase the potential for central nervous system depression, as well as that of histamine release, which is the usual cause of the symptoms you are describing. If you are breastfeeding, discuss with your doc.
Swollen ear: See your doctor, your child may have an infected ear.
No clini a are open and my child is complaint of ear pain, I looked inside and it's not red, no blood but lots of wax, it looks blocked. Mom?
My baby is having a swellen red spot on her left ear. It is there on her at 4mnth after her birth. She is now 1yr old. It is spreading slowly.
May be birthmark: There are some "birthmarks" that emerge in the first few months on the skin surface. A common one is composed of a jumbled collection of capillaries that grow faster than the kid until about a year then slow to gradually shrink down by the 4-5th birthday. These are blood red, just under the skin & can have a stain quality or be rough. Your doc can tell you foor sure.
8m old baby has red rash on cheeks up to ears and on eyebrows. Hot to the touch. Keeps rubbing face. Also on the back side of neck only. Suggestions?
See doctor: To determine the cause then it can be treated.
1Yo5M baby having red spots rashes on body--front chest, abdo, ear left ear. Is not particular itchy--no scratch. Had fever for 4 days last week?
4 mo. Baby has rash behind ear. Raw, red and oozing sticky clear liquid. Rash on face too. What should I use on it? Eczema? Has cradle cap too.
Like this?: Seborrheic dermatitis ("cradle cap") can spread to the face, eyelashes ; behind ears. It can be treated by using z-tar or other anti-dandruff shampoo. Lather up a fingertip's worth, shampoo ; rinse thoroughly. If the scalp is red for more than a few moments, discontinue use. If it looks infected or is very itchy, see her pediatrician for other treatments (miconazole or mild hc creams).

Can baby acne spread to ears eyelids and head? Can erythema toxicum neonatum occur at 3-4 weeks and spread to those places as well? Red bumps and pus
Rash in newborn: ETN is not likely the cause (usually in first few days to 2 wks). Neonatal acne is common and generally starts around 3 weeks of age. Yes, neonatal acne can cover the areas mentioned. Another common rash to be considered is seborrheic dermatitis - this rash will typically have flaky patches as well. No treatment for acne, severe seborrhea may be tx with low dose steroid (ask your pediatrician)See 1 more doctor answer
Looked in baby's ear and ear drum is red on one ear he is teething and runny nose could it b ear infection or pressure? 4 weeks ago on antibiotics
Red doesn't diagnose: Red is but one thing we look at when visualizing an ear drum. Red alone does not an ear infection make. An ear drum can be red if child has fever, is crying, holding breath, etc. We also look at landmarks, how the light reflexes, whether the ear drum moves, whether there is fluid behind the drum. All the things together make the diagnosis. If you are concerned, best to have doc look to diagnose.See 1 more doctor answer
