Big bites: Bed bug bites are usually self limiting and heal on their own in healthy patients. Cortisone creams or antihistamines may help with the symptoms. It could also be an active scabies infestation and there are very good over the counter soaps that you can purchase. Depends on reaction: Do you know what kind of insect it was? Check for pain and swelling, discomfort. If she has difficulty eating or swallowing she needs to see a doctor asap. If she is acting normal then just keep an eye on her.
