What causes muscle spasms in the head and neck?

What causes muscle spasms in the head and neck?

Muscle spasms: Usually a muscle spasm happens around the spine when it tries to "stabilize" the spine during a strain. When you strain it during sleep in a bad position or when you turn abruptly the wrong way, the spasm lasts long after the uncomfortable event is done. In order for it to go away, spine needs to be realigned, and the muscles need to relax. Sometimes heat helps that or muscle relaxants or yoga etc. ...Read more

I have continuous pain and muscle spasms on my entire right side body (from head to toe). What is it? Drs can't find a diagnosis.

Another option might be a somatization disorder related to previous trauma coming from your right side. ...Read more
