Will doctors use anesthesia before injecting fillers on wrinkles?

Sometimes: Newer fillers have local in them, so the injections are more comfortable than in the past. For the upper lip, local can help, but there is a separate injection for the local some patients do not like the numb sensation. Topical can also be used, but they take a while to set up. Local placed into the wrinkle can distort the treatment. Discuss the pros and cons with your plastic surgeon or injector. ...Read more

.

Frown : Frown lines are caused by overactive facial muscles. Fillers mask the wrinkle by adding volume around the muscle with injections that “fill” the skin. Botox is a paralytic agent that stops nerve impulses from moving to the injected muscles, so the muscles relax and do not contract, and the skin smoothes over them. For wrinkles between the brows, Botox acheives better results. However you should schedule a consultation with an experienced surgeon who will determine the appropriate treatment for you. ...Read more

I have a very small looking mouth and lips. Would injectable fillers be able to bulk up my lips and make the overall lip line appear longer?

Fillers bulk lips: Yes, a lot can be done with injectable fillers to improve the appearance of the lips. I i would caution you that you are young and would not in general recommend doing much of anything at this point. If it it really important , you may want to see a facial plastic surgeon for a more permanent solution, rather than having injections of absorbable fillers every 6-9 months. ...Read more
