Is genital hsv1 usually less severe than genital hsv2? Mild symptoms compared to hsv2?

Severity v frequency: The initial infection and recurrent outbreaks of genital herpes are not significantly different between HSV 1 and HSV2. The main difference is that recurrent genital HSV1 outbreaks usually are much less frequent (typically only once a year, often no recurrences at all) than HSV2 (usually 3-8 times a year). How often do chlamydia/gonorhea in men cause testicular symptoms, especially early on? Does that usually happen early or in general? For both of those

Epididymitis?: Probably under 1% of urethral gonorrhea or chlamydia leads to epididymitis, which generally causes severe pain and swelling in a single testicle, usually a few weeks after catching the infection. Milder aching of both testicles does not indicate epididymitis or testicular infection. That's a common symptom in some men with any genital infection doesn't indicate anything serious. ...Read more

Can herpes simplex type 2 affect fertility in women and in men?

Can herpes simplex type 2 affect fertility in women and in men?

Unlikely: The main extragenital complications of gential herpes simplex infection include hsv meningitis and proctitits. I don't know of any occurrences of hsv orchitis in men or involvement of the seminal vesicles, bulbourethrals, or prostate, which may affect male fertility. Similarly, female fertility is unlikely to be affected by hsv alone. The main concern is vertical transmission during pregnancy. ...Read more

Can htlv have the same symptoms as hiv? Cannot get a diagnoses. Terrible symptoms for 4 months following oral sex. also confirmed hhv6 infection.

HTLV is unlikely: As in my previous reply, HTLV is not known to be transmitted by oral sex. You don't say your symptoms, but apparently you think they are similar to ARS (acute HIV infection). If so, probably your symptoms are not due to any infection at all from that exposure. If related to that event, I would think about an anxiety reaction, not an infection. Almost certainly not HTLV. ...Read more
